The Jardín de Palabras retreat is open to those working on prose translations of any literary genre (short stories, novels, personal essay, memoir).

To apply, please send a brief cover letter using the form below. Your cover letter should outline what your literary translation experience is to date and what you hope to gain from attending the retreat. Please also upload a sample translation (no longer than 400 words) of a prose work from Spanish into English. Finally, indicate whether you would like to apply for a bursary and if so briefly explain your circumstances.

Applications are welcome until 31 December 2025.
